Our work
At Island Stories, we strive to deliver exceptional projects for our clients - by telling captivating stories with our unique viewpoint (and a dazzle of brilliance we like to think).
We could say we’re great at this job, that we could move mountains, bring you the stars and the moon, but there's nothing quite like seeing for yourself, right?

DOCUMENTARIES
Award-winning director Peter Webber traveled to Sri Lanka to create a documentary about the remarkable life story of Ishara de Silva, the owner of Plantation Villa in Kalutara.
Ishara successfully overcame cancer through Ayurveda and the support of her childhood friend, a Buddhist monk, who has been a constant presence in her life.
She has lived to share her inspiring story and now manages this charming boutique hotel and holistic center with a highly experienced team.
TV SERIES

We were incredibly fortunate to be involved in supporting the production of 'Living in the Wild with Ben Fogle', filming two episodes with the team.
The first was a return visit to Janie the Vet and her inspiring sanctuary, We Care, where she rescues street dogs.
The second episode was shot in the remote hills of Haputale, where a couple lives atop a mountain with very limited access and no electricity.
MULTIPLE ONLINE MEDIA

Booking.com asked us to organise their shoot, where a Dutch couple voted for a guest house in Ella.
Island Stories reenacted the trip they had, where the partner twisted his ankle and the lovely female owner of the guest house allowed them to stay with her, even though she was due to go into labour.
The baby was born while the couple were staying at the house.
Talk about a story to tell the grandkids!

Working on this production was truly memorable.
The Island Stories team is in awe of Julio del Alamo and his cinematic take on this commercial for Spanish designer Adolfo Dominguez with the wonderful actor Eduardo Noriega.
This coproduction with Island Stories was a truly wholesome experience.
We had trains, elephants, rain machines and sea plains. What could go possibly wrong? The real project win? We nailed the shoot in just 3 days.
